The Music Place

Dr Jean Byrne of The Yoga Space and sister Deirdre Atkinson-Byrne of The Music Place have combined their knowledge of children’s wellness, education and entertainment to provide a school holiday program in January 2010.

With their combined qualifications and experience working with children they are expecting the program to be a huge success.

Kids Yoga
As a non-competitive form of exercise, yoga gives children the physical benefits of traditional school sports in a safe and supportive environment while also teaching them valuable skills for relaxation and concentration. In this way, yoga educates the whole child. Yoga can increase your child's flexibility, balance, strength and coordination, aiding healthy childhood development. It has also been shown to help children with disturbed sleeping patterns, bad posture, lethargy, obesity, asthma, and poor concentration.

Music & Movement
Classes provide a warm introduction to music for your child. Children will join Deirdre, school owner and licensed Kindermusik Educator to enjoy her unique and energetic approach to music. While classes are lots and lots of fun they are also educational and assist with stimulating development such as physical, language, social and emotional skills.
