June Events 2008

Get ready for the winter chills with some of these great indoor ideas. Cultural awakenings and and arty experiences are on the agenda this June!

 

  • City of Perth Winter Arts Festival, 1 June - 31 August 2008

    Creative offerings are aplenty this winter as Perth's leading arts institutions open their doors for the public to absorb themselves in fine performances, events and exhibitions. There will be something for everyone including comedy, music, theatre, orchestra, ballet and plenty more.

  • Western Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), all month

    WASO is Western Australia's leading performing arts company. Several performances are running this June to highlight some of musics greatest composers including Manfred and Mozart, Verbitsky and Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. Visit the WASO website for dates and prices.

  • Avondale Clydesdale and Vintage Day, 22 June 2008

    Bring the family along to this all ages event to reminisce about the past. Watch Clydesdale horses attatched to old tillage implements plow the fields as they did in years gone. Get up close and personal with the horse and also view vintage machinery which some famers still use. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

  • Every Woman Expo, 27 - 29 June 2008

    Experience everything you love about being a woman, all under the same roof. The convention centre will be transformed into a Woman's haven, with food and wine, fashion and accessories, health and vitality, parenthood and maternity, plus a fashion catwalk as the centre of activities to show off all the latest trends.

  • The Countryman Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day, 29 June 2008

    If you are looking for a seachange, or even a downscale to a smaller property, the Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day will be an exciting opportunity to learn all there is to know about small scale farming. Talks, displays and interactive demonstrations will occur throughout the day, plus shuttles to nearby farms for a hands on view. Food stalls and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

  • York Gourmet Food and Wine Festival, 29 June 2008

    Be the first to experience a day of great day of food and wine at the inaugural York Gourmet Food and Wine Festival. Experience the new tastes of the local produce such as cheeses, wines, jams, olives, pickles and much more. Liver entertainment and craft stall will also be displayed on the day.
