    In a natural forest setting on the banks of the Blackwood River over 4 days this truly family festival has something for everyone including early morning meditation, workshops, concerts, street theatre, dance stage poetry and market stalls.

  • UWA Perth International Arts Festival, 8 February - 2 March

    The UWA Perth International Arts Festival is the oldest annual international multi-arts festival in the southern hemisphere and annually offers some of the world's best theatre, music, film, visual arts, street arts, literature and free community events. No single art genre, concert, performance or exhibition series can cover the breadth of intellectual and imaginative territory as the Perth Festival, nor reach as broadly into the community.

  • Leeuwin Concert Series 2008, 16th - 17th February 2008

    Leeuwin Estate is delighted to present Yvonne Kenny, David Hobson and The West Australian Symphony Orchestera to perform the 24th annual Leeuwin Concert Series.

  • Rottnest Channel Swim, 16th Feb 2008

    Battle natures elements during the crossing of the Rottnest Channel. The Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.5 kilometre swim from Cottesloe to Thomson Bay on the holiday island of Rottnest. Participants can compete in teams of two or four, or for the extremely dedicated, a solo crossing.

  • Busselton Jetty Swim, 2 - 3rd Feruary

    The Busselton Jetty Swim has become a feature event providing entertainment over two days to celebrate the event’s highlight – a 3.7 kilometre swim around the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. Spectators can view the entire swim course attracting 1000 competitors from the comfort of the Busselton jetty.

  • West Australian Opera - Opera in the Park 22 February 2008

    The opera - Madama Butterfly is always a favourite with audiences, a perfect marriage of poetry and music and a powerful exploration of the conflicts of romantic illusion and tragic reality. Featuring the West Australian Opera Chorus and the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra, the Supreme Court Gardens is open all day, so arrive early to get a good spot on the grass.

  • Sands of Peace and Harmony, 12 - 21 February 2008

    Experience the creation of a sacrad sand mandala created over 9 days by 4 Tibetan Buddhist Monks presented by Tibetan Ancient Ritual Arts Association Inc. at the Central TAFE Art Gallery in Northbridge. The opening will be held at the Gallery at 3pm on Tuesday 12 February.  Each morning starts with chanting meditation and throught he day there is an opportunity to observe the mandala as it grows to completion.
