Tourism Western Australia Staff
Holiday Information Consultants

Janis - I have been working at the Visitor Centre for over 11 years and have gained a wealth of information through my work and also by taking family holidays.  My most recent holiday in Western Australia was travelling through the remote area of the Dampier Peninsular  200km north of Broome along Cape Leveque Road.  This area offers an indigenous cultural experience as well as the beauty of the coastline. This is a perfect getaway for the adventurous traveller. Western Australia offers so much variety for locals and tourists and I feel very proud to promote this fabulous state of ours.

Peter - I have been working in the WA Visitor Centre for many years because I love Western Australia – its blue sky, wide open spaces, and diverse natural treasures. I have travelled widely throughout this vast state, and enjoy helping others to discover it also.
Margaret- I have been with Tourism WA since December 1981  but for the greater part of my 26 years of employment I have been with the Western Australian Visitor Centre in various capacities of the organisation. I love promoting this wonderful State and meeting visitors from all over the world.  My enthusiasm has never waned and hopefully it never will – a most rewarding occupation.
Matthew  Matt - I have been working with Tourism WA at the Western Australian Visitor Centre for almost twelve months. In this time I have learnt so much about Western Australia and love having the opportunity to share my knowledge with travellers who visit our centre, my last holiday was to Kalgoorlie where I visited the fantastic Gormely statues at Lake Ballard. Rebekah  Rebekah - I joined the Western Australian Visitor Centre as a Holiday Consultant this year and enjoy promoting our beautiful state to local, interstate and overseas visitors. I have spent many years working in the travel industry and love being able to help create wonderful holidays and share my travel experiences with others. My most recent holiday was to the Karijini National Park, where I witnessed the dramatic gorges, pretty waterfalls and stunning contrast of colours in the outback. Carole Reid -
When I came to Western Australia in 2002 from the UK as a working holiday maker all I knew was that I had truly embarked on my own personal journey of 1000 miles.  Nearly six years later whilst I am no longer on a working holiday, I gain great personal satisfaction in enhancing the experience of Western Australia for others who choose this part of the world to journey to and in. Read more about my journey on the “staff experiences” page, I hope my story will assist you in creating and enjoying yours.
